
The Ohinoyi of Ebira Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (Dr.) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje gave a warm reception to a delegation from the Sultan Foundation for Peace and Development, under the leadership of His Eminence, The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III,
The group was in his palace to solicit the support of His Royal Majesty in mobilizing traditional rulers within the Ebira Kingdom for the ongoing Outbreak Response Campaign aimed at polio immunization.
In a statement made public by the Chief Press Secretary, Abdulhakeem Onimisi Onuchi, the discussion was centered on the Ownership of team selection for the campaign, and Supervision of campaign activities, Resolving cases of non-compliance.
In his response, The Ohinoyi pledged his unwavering support for the campaign and any similar initiatives aimed at improving public health within the kingdom.
He took the opportunity to inform the traditional rulers about a recent stakeholders’ engagement meeting focused on health issues, which was organized by the Kogi State Ministry of Health and the State Health Care Development Agency in Lokoja.
This visit underscores the collaborative efforts necessary to combat polio and enhance health outcomes across the region, with traditional rulers playing a pivotal role in driving community involvement and compliance.
The visiting team was led by His Royal Highness, The Ohioba of Mozum, alongside the Senior Program Officer, Mallam Haruna Yusuf.
The palace was graced by the presence of prominent traditional rulers from Ebiraland, including all District and Ward Heads, who were in attendance to engage in this important discussion.
