The Standup For Women Society, Kogi State has appointed the Permanent Secretary of the Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Tijani as her Matron to guide and support them in all activities that would be carried out in the state.
The appointment letter was presented to her by the President International, Barrister Deborah Ijadele-Adetona by her representative and the National Public Relations Officer, Liberator Billie Nwogu.
In the letter, she was described as a woman of substance, whose antecedents were evident to many and worthy of emulation.
In her acceptance speech, Hajia Habibat thanked the association, promised to support them within her capacity.
She advised SWS to demonstrate the purpose of its existence by supporting women especially, in politics and otherwise, noting that some women cannot speak out even when things are going wrong.

Habitat urged women to always support women if women want to take rightful positions in governance.
The Chairperson of the SWS, Kogi State, Muslimat Itopa appreciated Hajia Habibat for her acceptability to take on the responsibilities of a Matron, assured her of the association to go into nooks and crannies to educate, sensitize and empower women and children where necessary.
Muslimat called on well-spirited Nigerians to always come forward to render helping hands to less privileged and vulnerable ones in society.
Standup for Women is a non-governmental organisation with members spread across all states, local government councils and international with headquarters in Lagos State.
