
The House of Assembly member representing Yagba East Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, Moved a Motion on the floor of the house and called on the state government to make plans towards establishing a satellite campus of Kogi State University, Kabba in Yagba East.
Hon. Emmanuel during an emergency plenary session yesterday where the lawmakers debated on the bill establishing Kogi State University Kabba, transmitted to the legislative council by the state governor through the state attorney general moved a motion for the establishment of a satellite campus in Yagba East.
While he speaks further on the bill, the member representing the Yagba East state constituency, once again appreciated the state governor for being a fair, just, and equitable leader for deeming it necessary to establish and cite the first Grade tertiary institution on the soil of Okunland.
The lawmaker further advocated for the establishment of a satellite campus of the university in the Yagba state constituency.
“I want to use this medium to call on this honorable chamber and the state government to look into establishing a satellite campus of the university in Yagba East.
“Also, a satellite campus of the university in Yagba East will help to decongest the main campus in Kabba, while students from the axis will have more access to tertiary education,” he submitted.
Finally, Hon Emmanuel Obaro appreciates the committee for their activeness and hard-working in ensuring the dream of the institution comes to reality.
