
The Kogi State Security Trust Fund has officially resumed operations under the leadership of the newly appointed Executive Chairman, AVM Omeiza Umar Ahovi RTD.
The resumption of the Military General, marks a renewed commitment to enhancing the security landscape across the state and ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.
In a handover ceremony today, the new Executive Chairman, AVM Omeiza, took over the responsibilities from his predecessor, Hon. Ohiare, who has successfully steered the affairs of the Trust Fund in the past. During his tenure, Ohiare, made significant strides in providing essential resources and support to security agencies in the state, playing a key role in maintaining relative peace and order.
The newly appointed Executive Chairman, AVM Omeiza , expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and committed to building on the achievements of his predecessor. He promised to introduce innovative strategies aimed at fostering improved security coordination, increased funding for security operations, and the implementation of proactive measures to tackle crime and other threats to public safety.
“I am honored to take on this responsibility and I am committed to ensuring that Kogi State remains a safe place for all residents,” said , AVM Omeiza. “Our work will be focused on transparency, collaboration with security agencies, and ensuring that every kobo allocated for security is put to effective use.”
The resumption of operations under the new leadership marks a new chapter in Kogi State’s efforts to secure its communities. The Trust Fund will continue to serve as a critical vehicle for channeling resources and support towards bolstering security infrastructure, ensuring a peaceful and stable environment for both residents and investors.
